STEP #1 - The first action towards fearlessness begins with taking a few baby steps into trusting in the energy of fear. This may feel contradictory to our ego’s urge to push fear away or control any gripping sensations that arise, yet when we let trust and fear blend together, we will discover an ocean of peace inside.
This shift into trust happens when we tell the mind that it is no longer in charge of everything, and we hand over the reins to the heart as our anchor to the present moment. Every breath you take from this space becomes a deeper surrender to trusting life, and knowing that an open trusting heart is the guide showing us home.
Trusting energy naturally floods into the heart when we access a spiritually open mind. You’re focusing your mind deeply on remaining curious, pushing your inquiry deeper into why you are afraid of what you are afraid of without any judgment.
When the mind can remain detached and curious about what the emotional tension in your gut and heart is all about, you don’t get sucked into it. It is only through this innocent childlike curiosity and true heartfelt inquiry that we can turn our worries into wonders, and catch a clear insight into what it is that we are running from.
Looking inside your fear for the very first time can seem life-threatening, or like you're entering a dark dusty door that hasn’t been opened for hundreds of years in your great grandparents’ basement. If it feels like this, then you know it’s the right place to start! We want to look deeper into what feels very familiarly frightening and instantly makes you want to run and hide.

Remember to really relax your body as you explore this dark place inside, and be aware that the fear is generated by the mind. The mind is a genius at avoiding what it needs to confront. We have all sorts of strategies and tricks for getting distracted from peering deeper into those places that make us feel uncomfortable.
Be infinitely patient with yourself throughout this process, and as well insanely persistent whenever you approach your fear. If your mind becomes judgemental about yourself, take 5 minutes to breathe with the feeling and bodily sensations connected with this fearful experience. Breathe until they begin to loosen and dissipate. You can also do light tapping on the left and right hemispheres of your face, chest, and whole body to help the brain balance out the panic reaction and release it quicker from the body.
STEP #3 - The third step to becoming authentically free from fear is making an extensive fear list. Write down your fears as a way of releasing them from your body onto the paper. Perhaps you’re afraid of intimacy, giving public speeches, heights, snakes, spiders, dogs, crowds, or tight elevator spaces. Include everything that makes you cringe and want to run, scream, or hide. Just get it out of your head so you can see it with your eyes.
Include every fear you can fathom until you are empty. Take as much time as you need in making your fear list, it can be one of the most liberating things you will ever do this year. After you've completed your fear list, circle 3 fears that you’d really like to find peace with, and get ready for the final exercise.
STEP #4 - This final step is about picking a fear from your list to work with that you most need to heal and clear. Once you know which one it is, get ready to close your eyes, relax your body, and get ready to watch your fear happening in front of you.
Imagine your scary movie is now playing on the big screen of your favorite cinema hall. The only difference is that you’re in the back of the theater standing beside the movie projector and 100% in control of the movie. Now, slow down the movie and pause it on that most intense scene where your body begins hitting a panic state.
Notice how your body feels when this one scene is frozen. Try to breathe deeper into your body and relax every muscle as you watch the scene happening to you on the big screen.
Listen to the words spoken and the tone of any voice you hear. Notice what is your heaviest and lightest reaction to what you see in response. Be aware of how your body responds to this frozen scene on the screen of your mind.
Next, comes the fun part! Imagine the golden healing light of God is pouring in through the theater ceiling above and lighting up all 4 edges of the screen. The light is warm, powerful, and penetrating. Any feelings of darkness or terror dissipate immediately as the golden light surrounds this terrifying scene.
Breathe this new golden healing scene into where the fearful sensations are held or stuck in your body. Keep breathing for several minutes into this process of seeing how the scene gets more playful as lighter more loving positive words are spoken.
