I remember many times in my life when I believed I was not 'destined' for great things. My mind entertained ideas like, "Money is the root of all evil, and money doesn't grow on trees." I manifested some frustrating financial situations from these negative beliefs. At one point, I felt so financially stuck that it seemed like I couldn’t breathe, drowning from the inside. Every morning, it felt like I was swimming in a frantic financial "doggie-paddle" just to stay afloat and pay the bills.

Then one day, in mid-paddle, it happened... I surrendered to my drowning experience and realized something deeply profound. My current relationship with money was manifesting everything. I was the one who decided how I related to money and manifested my financial situation. I saw that I had a choice in how I approached my feelings about money.

I realized that I could simply invent a different relationship with money, one based on trust, abundance, appreciation, and self-worth. I decided to stop entertaining feelings of struggle and survival, and everything began to change.

I could see that I had been manifesting the same stuck financial challenges year after year, not because of a lack of effort, but because I wasn’t willing to explore and shift my personal relationship with money. The moment I looked inside myself, explored my financial thinking habits, and owned them for what they were, I was able to change the way I related to money.

As I began creating an empowering, feel-good relationship with money in my mind, I realized that the number of digits representing my debt and bank account didn’t actually give me real power, purpose, or fulfillment. I saw that I was responsible for giving myself those experiences.

I knew that nothing came from the outer world but was first generated from within me. From this understanding, I started to become financially free and realize I was the master of my financial destiny.
